Overwatch has an incredible custom game mode, complete with a full workshop where players of the free-to-play hero shooter can design their own custom games and share them with the community. This has resulted in a huge variety of options available in-game, from hangout spots and silly social games to take a break from the 5v5 chaos, to hilarious new multiplayer game modes, and even handy setups to help test and develop your skills.
One such example is the numerous aim trainers and warmup custom map codes, which include options for practicing and learning timings for specific abilities and ultimates, as well as more general aim trainers utilizing both stationary and moving targets across a range of difficulties. This is extremely handy for helping to develop your aim for certain heroes, especially hitscans such as Soldier: 76, Ashe, Widowmaker, and Cassidy, just to name a few. If you're looking for custom games to help train your aim, practice skills, and get ready for your matches, then this list has you covered with the best Overwatch map codes.

This custom game has been designed with several different modes to help Overwatch players improve their aim on both hitscan and projectile heroes. There's the option to shoot standard targets, to have them appear on a tight grid for consistency, to have them appear all around you in 3D for learning flick shots and quick pinpoint aim readjustment, or to have targets set in a strafing pattern to help improve tracking.
There's also the option to toggle random target sizes, to help practice precision aim for the varying hitboxes of characters on the roster. Lastly, you can enable 'healthy' targets, meaning they take multiple hitmarkers to destroy, simulating the consistency needed to deteriorate the HP of real enemies. These options can also be further tweaked in the custom game settings, making Aim Training Labs one of the most basic but reliable warmup and practice map codes around.

For something a bit different than the classic Overwatch Aim Training Labs, this aim trainer focuses on aerial target movement. It's brilliant for practicing your aim if you want to get better at taking down flying heroes such as Pharah, Mercy, and Echo. You simply select your character, exit the spawn room, and you will be teleported to a point where the targets are flung up into the air in an arc.
You can also shoot buttons to your left to configure options such as target distance, as well as the option to equip unlimited ammunition (recommended), as well as simulating a nano or damage boost situation.
Of course, not every hero will be playable for this one - you'll need a character with decent range and somewhat consistent firing who can actually fire at the targets. Some of the best characters to practice in this particular range are Ashe, Cassidy, Soldier: 76, Sojourn, Sierra, Emre, Shion, Baptiste, Zenyatta, Kiriko, Juno, Orisa, or even Hanzo, if you're looking for a challenge to get better at hitting one-shot kill arrows on moving targets.

Look, anyone who has played Genji knows how satisfying it is to hit a nice 3-5k Blade. However, this can also be one of the trickiest parts of his kit - you need to be able to hit your dashes precisely, swing on targets, and get the refresh to move to the next enemy. If you miss a dash, it can ruin the entire Dragonblade and make your Ultimate a complete flop. Luckily, if you're struggling with Blade, this trainer will help you refine these skills with much repetition.

Just as learning the Dragonblade skill is important for Genji players, those who have crucial CC and shutdown abilities absolutely need to learn how to hit them consistently in order to get value from their hero. Hitting a perfectly timed Sleep on a Nanoblading Genji, stunning a Reinhardt out of Earthshatter with your Javelin, never missing the notorious Hog hook and gun combo, and setting up the perfect kill for your team with Sigma's rock can help to pave the way to victory. Developing your skills with these abilities is an absolute must, especially if you want to have a serious go at climbing through the Competitive ranks.
This map is your one-stop training area for all of these scenarios, offering a range of enemy abilities to react to, different timings so you develop muscle memory, and even score tracking.

The classic 1v1 Arena, a top choice in the Overwatch community when it comes to custom game modes. It's perfect for a fun general warmup with your friends, as it puts you all into an arena with random hero selection. Kill the opponent to remain in the arena and earn points; die and you'll need to wait to be rotated back in again.
Furthermore, it's designed to be played against other people, but you can spawn in solo. Doing so puts you against a bot, and the bot is surprisingly tricky, hitting snap headshots on Zenyatta, equipped with perfect tracking on Soldier, and nailing the perfect sleep on Ana. If you can consistently dominate this bot on a selection of random heroes, then it's safe to say your mechanical skill should be nicely warmed up. The only thing to consider is that bots rarely move and react like real players, so you shouldn't rely on this exclusively. It can be fun to weave in between other aim trainers, though, and it's an absolute no-brainer if you're playing in a stack!

Lucio Surf remains one of the most popular custom game modes. It's a must if you're a dedicated Lucio veteran who needs to keep your skills sharp, or a newbie wanting to learn him, but more importantly...it's also just a lot of fun for people who don't play Lucio, too. Lucio Surf is essentially 'the floor is lava,' but with his Wallride passive ability, so some decent understanding and control of these mechanics and possible map rollouts are handy information to have regardless - after all, you never know when you'll need to make a quick swap and hit a rollout to touch in overtime. It could make all of the difference, so the practice will be worth it.
There's a huge variety of maps, each of which is randomly shuffled when you launch the game. There's no one right or wrong path/rollout to take, and you can even race your friends to try and compete for the quickest completion time.
