The Birds Are Back In Town As The Budgies Event Returns To Rift

It may not seem like there’s a lot going on with Rift these days. But, if nothing else, the game continues with its regular events. The most recent example of that is the return of the Budgies to the F2P MMORPG. Starting August 7, the birds will return, and players will be able to test their racing skills.

When the event launches, players will be able to complete daily quests and earn Chaos Motes to exchange for various rewards, including their bird mounts. Other rewards include cosmetics and the like.

The quest givers can be found in the major cities: Meridian, Sanctum, and Tempest Bay. Those looking to race and wanting to do their best will need to follow some simple rules. (Simple, in theory, but likely easier said than done.) First, try to stay on the path and hit all the white checkpoints. Also, make use of green boosts to increase speed. And finally, be careful not to hit the orange traps. That’ll mean being aware of your surroundings and making sure there aren’t any orange traps on the way when hitting the green boosts. We all know that things can go awry pretty quickly if you launch yourself into traps while trying to get ahead.

As noted, the event kicks off on August 7. It will last for four days, ending on August 11.
