Convention season is well underway for the Final Fantasy XIV team. They’ve attended several conventions around the globe already and last week they announced that Yoshi-P would be giving a talk about the MMORPG at Melbourne Internation Games Week in Australia. That also happens to be a few days before the dev team will be making an appearance at PAX Aus – October 11 through October 13.
They’ll be there a bit earlier than that, though, as a fan celebration will take place on October 9. Obviously, if you’re in Australia, mark down all the dates and buy your tickets, and don’t forget to pick up your free goodies while you’re there. Full details on the PAX Aus appearance are available on the Lodestone.
Before the Australia trip, Yoshi-P and crew have something a bit closer to home. The team will be attending the Tokyo Game Show at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan between September 26 and September 29. Now, if you’ve been thinking we’re about due for a Live Letter, you would be right and this is where it will take place.
It’s a pretty good bet that the upcoming Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXXIII, covering Patch 7.1 Part 1, will provide players details on the upcoming Final Fantasy XI crossover Alliance Raid ‘Echoes of Vana’diel’. There could also be information on some of the Disciple of Land and Hand activities, as well as the Society quests. Maybe we’ll get more information on that new limited job, too.
The Live Letter will begin at 10:50 p.m. Pacific time and is scheduled to run until 12:20 a.m. It will apparently only be available to watch on YouTube and will not be translated. Of course, that means live translations will be available via the unofficial Final Fantasy XIV Discord channel and we’ll be covering it here as well.
