The Trip To Astropolis In Honkai: Star Rail's Version 4.5 Update Is A Rescue Mission Disguised As A Vacation

Honkai: Star Rail players have known for a bit that we’re going to be taking a side trip away from Planarcadia to the Interastral Peace Entertainment’s headquarters on Astropolis for a little fun in the sun and to spend some time with Robin and Adventurine – who are both getting new SP characters. The problem is that where we last left off didn’t really seem like a good point to go on vacation. Yes, we’d “defeated” Asat Pramad, but not before he unleashed the Voracity to swallow the planet – and everything around it whole.

As it turns out, we’re not really heading to Astropolis for vacation. We’re going there seeking help at Pearl’s request. It seems like something we might want to be quick about, since part of the crew is still back on Planarcadia, helping the residents do what they can to survive.

Of course, we won’t just be able to walk into the offices and ask for assistance. The IPC doesn’t work that way, and not everyone there is necessarily on friendly terms with the Trailblaze. A lot of them don’t even like each other – as you’ll learn while helping Adventurine with a mission while you’re there.

The free-to-play action RPG's new storyline, along with the new characters was detailed in the Version 4.5 Special Program this morning. As mentioned above, the new characters this time are Robin Summeretto, a Wind Remembrance character, and Adventurine Waveflair, a Quantum Elation character. Robin will be available in the first Event Warp phase along with a rerun of Hyacine while Adventurine will be joined by Ashveil in the second phase. Version 4.5 will run for about five weeks.

Players will also be interested to know that in addition to the various event activities there were a few collaboration announcements. As you might recall, Zenless Zone Zero announced a collab with HSR during their last stream, slated to arrive later this year. Pom Pom has already made an appearance in the game (and is now just lurking around the video store). Well, it looks like the portal (or whatever it is) is going to open both ways, because the collab will be taking place in HSR as well, with characters from New Eridu making the trip over.
