Valorant players have been asking for it, and it’s finally here. With the release of patch 11.06, Riot introduced a replay system to the free-to-play shooter. Now, players can review their performance during matches and figure out what they’re doing wrong (or right) and up their game.
With this new feature, players will be able to not only watch replays from their own perspective but from that of all ten players involved in the match. Rewatch will also allow players to enable player outlines to give them a better idea of what’s really happening.
In addition, a third-person observer cam is available, as is the ability to change the speed of the replay and skip between rounds of games. Or, players can just go directly to what they want to look at and select a specific point in the game to watch.
To access replays, players will need to download the replay file after completing a match. They can then load it into the Replay system and watch from there. For those with more questions, an FAQ is available on the Valorant site.
On an additional note, Riot is currently preparing to test multi-factor authentication as part of their efforts to cull smurfing in the game. The system will roll out in beta in select regions. The idea is to decrease the number of shared accounts in the game, which they hope will go some way to cutting back on the smurfing. That said, they do admit they know it won’t prevent it completely.
