Today, Bohemia Interactive launches the next Outland chapter with Vigor Turmoil. The update introduces the shooter’s 23rd season, along with a crafting rework, a new battle pass, and events.
In this new update, players will be able to take advantage of a crafting rework intended to help them prepare for combat. Rather than crafting a single thing at a time, players can now make use of batch crafting and take advantage of a crafting boost that reduces the time needed to craft items. The update also improves the crafting UI, making things even easier for players.
The update also brings some new events. First, the Unexploded Missile Loot Event is a new encounter in which players will need to deal with missiles crashing into the map in the middle of a match. The idea, however, isn’t to just avoid them. Instead, there’s a new mini-game in which players disarm the missiles. Successfully doing so will earn players useful goodies. That said, there’s still the risk of radiation. So, use your best judgment and all that.
In addition, Season 23 adds regular Shootout Carnage Events. There are currently four: Blade Carnage, Hunter’s Carnage, Pioneer Carnage, and Weapon Carnage. The first two are knives and crossbows only, respectively. Pioneer Carnage will make use of the new weapons and consumables, while Weapon Carnage will have fixed weapon categories.
Also of note in this update are “Enhanced Radiation Visual Effects”. These come with “omnimous ambient winds”. The devs were really going for making everything as creepy as possible.
