War Robots: Frontiers’ Upcoming “Power Surge” Season Introduces New Spider Mech, And New Mode

Today, My.Games announced the next season for its F2P mech shooter War Robots: Frontiers. Season 2, titled “Power Surge,” introduces two new War Robots, Loki and Mesa, as well as the new Volta Titan.

Volta is a spider-like quadruped mech with the ability to jump and hover. It also utilizes an electric weapon, can generate a moving barrier, and block projectiles when needed. The barrier also deals damage to opponents who try to go through it. (So, maybe don’t do that.)

The new game mode, titled “Spearhead”, has two teams fighting over Warp Probes in order to stabilize Warp in the region. Winning requires either staying ahead of the opposition or eliminating all of them outright.

Also added this Season is the new hero pilot, Sora Sing, a femme fatale who took the fall for war crimes and lost her citizenship. The new season launches on June 17, but players can get a taste of it before that in the playtest running from May 15 to 16.
