Who Wants To Try Out A Cozy Monster Hunting MMORPG? Maybe World Of Slime?

If you’re looking for something chill to play, Team42’s casual slime-capturing MMORPG might be worth checking out. The game currently will be launching sometime later this year, but ahead of that they’re offering players the chance to check out the game via a demo.

The demo in question gives players a feel for the game’s core loop. That’s hunting slimes, taming them, and nurturing them into a proper companion. Slimes are found throughout the game’s world. And it seems that some may be a bit more dangerous than others – at least for your average villager anyway. As the player the gooey little things aren’t really that dangerous, and once tamed will help players overcome obstacles while exploring. It also seems that while they may start out as slimes, they evolve into all kinds of creatures.

At the moment, it hasn’t been stated whether the game will be free-to-play or not. The press release does, however note that there won’t be any gacha or pay to win, stating that “power comes from time, loyalty, and skill, never your wallet.”

It is worth noting that the game does have an AI disclosure on Steam, stating that the “AI image tools assisted with some 2D assets” and that the actual in-game art was created by artists “based on original designs”.
