For over a decade now, World of Warships players have enjoyed blowing each other up. (In the friendliest way, of course.) With the drop of the free-to-play war shooter’s September update, Wargaming is celebrating 11 years of sea-based warfare. This major content update brings with it celebratory activities, beginning with a decorated Maritime Parade Port.
With the launch of the update, players will be able to earn Festive Tokens via in-game activities and exchange them for rewards like the Early Access Japanese supercruiser Kurama or Red Steel Titan premium containers, among other things.
In addition, when players win their first battle of the update, they’ll also receive several goodies. Among these are 11 days of of Premium Account access, a new enemy destruction effect, a permanent camouflage, three Battle of Santiago de Cuba containers, and 3 Red Steel Titan Premium containers.
As for the update’s battle pass, it also offers players festive goodies, including an 11 Years of Glory flag, a commander, camouflages, and other items.
Aside from the celebratory content, the new update introduces three new PvE operations for low-tier ships. This means players have another way to level up and acclimate themselves to the game. The update also brings a new chapter of the Holiday Convoy event that launched last month and introduces a new four-week campaign featuring the French Tier VIII Premium battleship as its prize. More details on the update can be found on the World of Warships site.
