About
BPM: BULLETS PER MINUTE is an action, indie, first-person, and adventure game developed and published by Awe Interactive. It was released on September 14, 2020. The game features a single-player mode. Players take on the role of a Valkyrie fighting to protect Asgard from underworld forces. Gameplay in BPM is centered around rhythm. Both player actions and enemy attacks are synchronized with the music. Enemies attack in a dance-like sequence to an epic rock opera soundtrack. The game draws inspiration from 90s retro shooters, emphasizing fast-paced, frenetic action. Players can use various movement techniques like double jumping, dashing, rocket jumping, and bunny hopping to evade enemies. The objective is to reach the end of randomly generated dungeons. Each playthrough offers a unique experience as players collect different weapons, abilities, and items. There are seven bosses to defeat before facing the final boss. Each boss has unique attack patterns that require specific strategies to overcome. Players can choose from five characters, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses. The game features over 40 items that can buff a character's abilities in various ways. BPM also includes challenge modes for additional gameplay. The main story takes approximately three hours to complete, while the main story plus extras can take around nine hours. A completionist playthrough is estimated to take 39 hours.
