Cattails: Wildwood Story is an indie role-playing simulation game published and developed by Falcon Development. The gameplay involves leading a colony into the mysterious Wildwood to establish a new home. Players can hunt prey using their acute sense of smell to track targets before pouncing through the air. Harvesting herbs and collecting magical treasures are also core activities within the game world. Defending the settlement from intruders is another key responsibility for the player character. The game allows users to build a thriving town and customize its starting location. Social interaction is central, as players can chat with residents or give gifts to make friends. All adult colony cats can be befriended, dated, and married within the simulation. Raising a litter of kittens is part of the life sim mechanics available in the title. The main story takes approximately 23 hours to complete when including extra content. A completionist playthrough requires about 56 hours to finish all objectives.
