Although the overall story remains consistent for all players, each hero's journey is unique because every room has been hand-designed before being stitched into a one-of-a-kind world map. The game features six massive procedurally-assembled areas constructed from these hand-crafted rooms and presents challenging retro gameplay with authentic pixel art at a native resolution of 384x216. Combat involves battling massive bosses and discovering new abilities that allow access to previously unreachable areas, alongside character customization through armor, weapons, and spells. The main story takes approximately nine hours to complete, extending to eleven hours if extras are included, with a full completionist run requiring thirteen hours. This version is available on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems and includes full gamepad support for enhanced control during exploration and combat sequences.
