About
Chicory: A Colorful Tale is an action indie adventure RPG published by Finji and developed by a team including Wishes Ultd., Greg Lobanov, Alexis Dean-Jones, Lena Raine, Madeline Berger, and A Shell in the Pit. The game was released on June 10, 2021, and offers both single-player and co-op experiences for players who enjoy exploring worlds where they can draw on anything. This top-down adventure takes place in a coloring book setting filled with vibrant characters, allowing users to utilize painting powers to solve puzzles and interact with the environment. The narrative follows Chicory, a superstar artist and wielder of the Brush, after she goes missing and causes all color to vanish from the land. Players step into the role of Chicory's number one fan, tasked with picking up the Brush to help restore color to the Picnic Province. The main story runs for approximately nine hours, while completing additional extras extends playtime to thirteen hours. Those seeking a full completionist experience can expect to spend around twenty-one hours exploring the world and unlocking new paint abilities. In addition to painting mechanics, the game allows players to collect clothes, plants, and furniture to customize their appearance and surroundings. The world contains over one hundred animal characters for players to discover during their journey. Multi-player options are available alongside the single-player campaign, giving friends a chance to collaborate on puzzles and adventures together.
