About

Cities XXL is a simulation game published and developed by Focus Entertainment that was released on February 5, 2015. Players take on the role of a mayor to design, build, and manage the world's largest and most diverse cities. The title features a more powerful game engine and a new interface compared to previous iterations in the series. The gameplay involves town planning across home locations, retail plots, offices, industry, and infrastructure using 47 architectural styles and over 1000 buildings. Users can manage the happiness of city denizens through leisure activities, landmarks, and systems for ecology and pollution management. The game includes new structures alongside ecological buildings and upgrades such as park-and-ride stations, electric car dealerships, and bike hire services. Economy management allows players to share resources between all cities across over 65 maps. The simulation covers a greener approach with specific environmental features integrated into the building and upgrade options.
