Players can choose to play as Garfield, Odie, Jon, Nermal, Arlene, Liz, Harry, or Squeak. The game features 16 different circuits based on locations from the world of Garfield. Players can use bonus objects like Exploding Diamonds, Lasagnas, Pies, Magic Wand, Pillow, Bewitching Perfume, and Flying Saucers to gain an advantage in races. There are three game modes: Grand Prix, Single Race, and Time Trial. Players can also adjust the difficulty level between 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc. A daily challenge is available for players to try each day. Players can customize their characters with hoods and accessories. The main story of Garfield Kart takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Including extras, the game can take around 8 hours to finish. A completionist playthrough will take about 35 hours.
