The experience includes an enhanced economic system with sea trade options and research opportunities within an RTS-like battle framework. Combat involves eighteen different warfare abilities available for units such as Praetorians, War Elephants, and Triarii. Defending against barbarian tribes is a core component alongside building a wealthy economy to meet the needs of your people. The main story runs for approximately 27 hours, while including extras extends playtime to around 48 hours.
