Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride is an adventure, puzzle, and casual title published by Artifex Mundi on August 21, 2014. This single-player experience takes place in a world filled with legends and magic that includes gloomy forests, forbidden temples, and abandoned castles. Players explore a realm of dark secrets where their destiny was written long before they were born. The setting features the lonely village of Ravenbrook located at the bottom of a foggy valley under the shadow of an ancient forest. The villagers in Ravenbrook are described as cheerful and diligent but remain warily superstitious about evil spirits. They surround their settlement with countless charms to keep these spirits at bay from the Abyss, a seemingly bottomless pit on the other side of the forest. This location represents the greatest fear for the people of Ravenbrook. A young woman returns home to her twin sister's wedding after years apart, despite receiving an invitation that seems strange and possibly written by someone else. Just before the wedding festivities begin, a stranger arrives in Ravenbrook while happiness fills the air. The game includes a fuzzy sidekick described as the cutest kitty helper you have ever met. There are 24 versatile mini-games and 14 hidden object scenes available within the experience. The main story takes approximately five hours to complete, while the full main story plus extras requires about six hours.
