About

Iko is an aspiring warrior exploring both land and sky to reunite a series of floating islands in this action adventure platformer. He travels between locations using a rickety airship to reignite each island's magnetic core while fighting off various adversaries. The game functions as a metroidvania where reuniting the islands and befriending characters causes the world to expand with new areas for exploration. Players must scour every corner of these environments to collect hidden upgrades and face numerous challenges along the journey. The experience includes single-player gameplay that supports controller use, allowing you to navigate lush hand-painted environments with vivid details. You will encounter a tour guide who provides directions but possesses some unusual vibes that warrant caution during your travels. Combat involves fighting back against terrifying monsters and ruthless sky pirates within epic boss battles that test your skills. Completing specific challenges helps uncover the many secrets hidden across the islands while providing necessary upgrades for your journey. Making friends with a wide cast of charming characters is central to the story, including a pretentious warrior classmate and a suspiciously friendly frog. The main story takes approximately seven hours to finish, though adding extras extends playtime to eight hours. A completionist run requiring all content can take around nine hours depending on how thoroughly you explore each area. This title from Armor Games Studios was developed by Kyle Thompson and released on August 23, 2022.
