About
Knock on the Coffin Lid is an indie fantasy adventure and RPG developed and published by RedBoon, released on August 8, 2024. The game features single-player gameplay where you wake up in a cold crypt far from home with no memory of recent events. You are accompanied by an enigmatic stranger as you begin the journey to recover your lost memories. Your path requires examining the dark secrets surrounding your own death while forming alliances and planning your route carefully. The adventure spans three mysterious regions designed to help you return home and untangle a web of deadly intrigues. Along the way, you will encounter various new friends, some of whom may only appear to be friendly. Upon ascending to the empty throne of the Northern Gate, you must decide how the world will look after your rise to power. You can choose whether goblins remain slaves or rule over the orcs in the Crimson Steppes. The fate of the elves and the dominating force in the Northern Gate are decisions left entirely to your choices. Combat involves collecting powerful artifacts and building decks that become unbeatable against faction leaders who dispute your authority. You will learn the secrets of three main heroes and their antagonists throughout the story. Unlocking 12 original subclasses allows you to appreciate the depth of the gameplay and enliven your experience. Each hero introduces unconventional mechanics that force you to move away from usual patterns and search for optimal strategies. The plot-driven rogue-like structure ensures that each new game becomes more interesting than the previous one. Dynamic card battles take place in an epic setting within a magical world where difficult decisions directly affect the course of events. You will learn new details of the fascinating story as characters are pulled into it by the will of fate. With repeated play, you discover new details of the story, game events, and new solutions bit by bit.
