About
Necromunda: Hired Gun is an indie first-person action adventure developed by Streum On Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. The game was released on May 31, 2021, and takes place within the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40,000. Players navigate a hive city filled with crime and corruption while acting as a hired gun to balance the local ecosystem. This title is available for single-player experiences and includes controller support for gameplay. The main story content requires approximately eight hours to complete, while adding extras extends playtime to twelve hours. A completionist approach to the game allows for up to seventeen hours of engagement. Players can eliminate notorious gangers and mutants using a sprawling arsenal of weapons found in their armory. The character body features a dozen customizable augments that enable running on walls and leaping over chasms. Combat is supported by a cyber-mastiff that assists in sniffing out and killing enemies during the hunt. Quick traversal across massive environments is possible through the use of a grappling hook. The experience offers endless weapon customization alongside options to upgrade and level up as bounties are collected.

Necromunda: Hired Gun shoots itself in the foot with bugs galore, brain-dead AI, and a dull, nonsensical story.

Necromunda is a sight to behold, but it's undermined by wonky shooting, superfluous mechanics, and bugs.
