About
Alina of the Arena is a strategy title developed and published by PINIX under IndieArk, released on October 13, 2022. This indie game functions as a roguelike deckbuilding tactics experience where players assume the role of a gladiator fighting for survival in front of a bloodthirsty crowd. The gameplay merges mechanics from Slay the Spire and Into the Breach to create a system that goes beyond simple attack and defense interactions. Players manage dynamic deckbuilding by picking up dozens of cards, retaining necessary ones, and crafting a unique deck while progressing through randomized levels. Each run presents different challenges as players navigate hex-based tactics where positioning matters more than just direct confrontation. The tactical layer allows users to dupe enemies into attacking one another or utilize terrain to gain an advantage over opponents. Survival relies on making effective use of dodges and knockbacks rather than relying solely on traditional attack and defense methods. The main story requires approximately eight hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to around twenty-one hours. Completionist runs are not listed with a specific duration in the available data.
