About
Cave Story+ is an action, adventure, and platformer title published by Nicalis, Inc. alongside Studio Pixel. The game was released on November 21, 2011, and offers a single-player experience with controller support. It presents an original storyline filled with personality, mystery, and fast-paced fun for players to enjoy. Developed by the independent designer Daisuke Amaya, also known as Pixel, the adventure takes place in a world inhabited by innocent rabbit-like creatures called Mimiga. The narrative begins when the player wakes up in a dark cave without any memory of their identity or origin. Upon exploring Mimiga Village, it becomes clear that these creatures face danger from a maniacal scientist. The main story can be completed in approximately six hours, while including extras extends playtime to eight hours. Players seeking a full completionist run may spend up to eleven hours exploring the massive adventure. The experience is designed to feel reminiscent of classic 8 and 16-bit games through its gameplay mechanics.
