Players must navigate through darkness populated by hostile creatures and uncover mysterious secrets along the rocky walls. The journey involves collecting red gems scattered throughout the environment and exploring hidden caves filled with relics. Between levels, players can enter shops located in precarious positions to purchase useful items or upgrade their abilities. These upgrades stack to change how the game is played, offering different weapons and peculiar items for acquisition. The fashionable Gunboots allow users to unleash firepower on enemies while simultaneously slowing their descent with every shot fired. Each level is procedurally generated, ensuring that no two trips down the well follow the same path. The main story takes approximately six hours to complete, while including extra content extends playtime to thirteen hours. A completionist approach to finding all secrets and items can take up to fourteen hours of gameplay. Music for the experience was composed by Eirik Suhrke, with sound design handled by Joonas Turner. The game offers a fresh adventure every time due to its random level generation system.
