About
Ghost Song is an action indie adventure RPG and platformer published by Humble Games and developed by Old Moon, released on November 2, 2022. This single-player title takes place on the desolate moon of Lorian where a long-dormant Deadsuit awakens from slumber with its memory clear of purpose. Players descend beneath the surface to search for answers in an atmospheric world defined by self-discovery, ancient mysteries, and cosmic terror. The journey involves exploring winding caverns lit only by bioluminescent flora while battling strange and powerful creatures found within the depths. The game features a Metroidvania-inspired 2D world filled with secret chambers and a haunting history that players can uncover through exploration. As you progress, you acquire potent weapons and game-changing new abilities that unlock access to new strata of the moon and optional hidden areas. Combat requires mastering the distinctive rhythm of the Deadsuit's core mechanics by pummeling enemies with a rapid-fire blaster and building up barrel heat to empower melee attacks. You can level up your power and customize your suit and blaster with an arsenal of modules to face challenging fungal aliens and metal husks. Beyond the main objectives, you encounter a cast of voiced characters who share their own tales of survival, courage, abandonment, and redemption in this unfamiliar place. The main story runs for approximately 10 hours, while adding extras extends the experience to about 13 hours for those seeking more content. For players aiming to see everything, the completionist length reaches around 20 hours as you unearth the alien world's long-buried secrets.
