Players must make careful decisions both during battles and in daily interactions to manage their character effectively. Hundreds of different items and consumables are available to influence these outcomes throughout the campaign. More than 200 lootable items range from medieval weaponry and armor to poisons, medical supplies, and crafting components. These resources can be combined to create medical and utility items as well as various types of crossbow ammunition. Every action taken by your character generates in-game consequences that alter how non-player characters perceive you. NPC opinions shift based on your behavior inside and outside of battle, which enables or disables future interactions and triggers special events. The game uses random generation elements to ensure that separate playthroughs offer completely unique experiences with different starting items and enemies. Dozens of weapons including swords, axes, maces, spears, throwing knives, and crossbows each have distinct movesets and counter abilities. You can also pursue the hearts of several characters with unique personalities while fighting for wealth and honor. A complete Roguelike mode allows you to level your profile after each death, unlocking new starting items and improving base characteristics. For those seeking narrative over hardcore survival, a special story mode provides thrills and twists without demanding excessive difficulty. This mode includes quick save and load options accessible at any time for flexible gameplay sessions. The main story lasts approximately five hours, while the game offers no additional content for extras or completionist runs.
