About
INMOST is a narrative-driven puzzle platformer developed by Hidden Layer Games and published by Chucklefish. The game was released on August 21, 2020, and falls within the horror, indie, adventure, and puzzle genres. Players can experience this single-player title in fourteen languages, including English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The story follows three main characters, each with distinct gameplay styles: a knight exploring a deteriorating castle, a child investigating an eerie house, and a wanderer searching for answers. You will venture through a pixel art world while luring enemies into traps, solving environmental puzzles, and using tools like a scythe, hookshot, and pickaxe to avoid danger. The main story lasts approximately four hours, with the full experience including extras extending to eight hours. This intimate tale of loss and hope is designed to be played in one sitting on a dark night. The game features vocal performances by Andrew Dennis and Cassandra Lee Morris within its hauntingly atmospheric setting. Players are encouraged to explore every area to find secret passages and collectibles while navigating the crumbling, nightmarish landscape. Some aspects of the narrative may prove upsetting, so player discretion is advised before starting the experience.
