About
Loop Hero is a card game, indie game, RPG, and strategy game developed by Four Quarters and published by Devolver Digital. It was released on March 3, 2021. The game features single-player gameplay. The Lich has thrown the world into a timeless loop and plunged its inhabitants into never ending chaos. Players wield an expanding deck of mystical cards to place enemies, buildings, and terrain along each unique expedition loop for the brave hero. Recover and equip powerful loot for each class of hero for their battles and expand the survivors' camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop. Unlock new classes, new cards, and devious guardians on your quest to shatter the endless cycle of despair. Infinite Adventure: Select from unlockable character classes and deck cards before setting out on each expedition along a randomly generated loop path. No expedition is ever the same as the ones before it. Plan Your Struggle: Strategically place building, terrain, and enemy cards along each loop to craft your hero's journey. The main story of Loop Hero takes approximately 29 hours to complete. If you include extras, the playtime increases to 37 hours. A completionist playthrough will take around 55 hours.

Loop Hero Critic Reviews and Review Scores

The spirit of early-'90s fantasy games, cleverly revived in an original and digestible form.
IGNJonathan Bolding

Loop Hero's cleverly stripped-down RPG concept demands attention for as long as it takes you to work out the clear "best" way to guide each hero class, and its fantastically dark story setup stands out as one of the best in years.
EurogamerChristian Donlan
A commentary on games and players and a compulsive grind to boot.
Game InformerDaniel Tack

This is a fun and intriguing genre mashup, placing the player in a management role instead of controlling the swing-to-swing minutia of combat

Loop Hero combines familiar mechanics in unfamiliar ways, producing an exhilarating and tactical roguelite that you'll struggle to put down.
