About
Ostriv is an indie strategy and simulation title published and developed by yevhen8, released on March 19, 2020. The game functions as a single-player experience where players assume the role of a governor in an 18th-century Ukrainian town. This setting challenges creative skills and management abilities within a historical context. The core gameplay focuses on city-building by removing grid and angle restrictions found in other titles. Players can construct truly organic town layouts across a three-dimensional landscape without those limitations. The design aims to create believable communities where real-life problems emerge naturally during play. Instead of becoming repetitive, the late game presents new challenges as the player's creations evolve into alive communities. The main story takes approximately 10 hours to complete, while including extras extends the experience to around 269 hours. Completionist length is not listed for this title. The development process is described as slow and steady, which may result in long delays between updates. Buyers are encouraged to support the project directly by providing detailed bug reports and feedback. This input helps shape the game into a masterpiece it aims to become.
