About
Cook, Serve, Delicious is a hardcore restaurant simulation developed and published by Vertigo Gaming Inc. Released on October 7, 2013, this title falls within the action, indie, managerial, strategy, and simulation genres. The game centers on an old, worn down restaurant located in the SherriSoda Tower that was once the heart of the building but eventually closed as business dropped to an all time low. With the local economy rising back up and occupancy reaching its maximum, the tower has decided to bring back the establishment and has given players complete control to restore it to a world class dining status. You will start with a few thousand dollars and thirty foods to choose from for your menu, along with a host of restaurant equipment available for purchase. Nearly everything is unlocked from the start of the game so you must figure out the best strategy to get that restaurant packed with satisfied customers. In addition to managing the kitchen, players have the opportunity to be cast in the Iron Cook television show and throw parties for offices within the SherriSoda Tower. You can read virtual mail in your SherriSoda Tower Email account which ranges from game tips to spam, including nearly 500 emails in all. This communication system includes messages from customers providing feedback to opportunities such as being able to fund projects via ClicknStart and other big surprises. The game offers hours of content and tons of secrets and unlockables for anyone ready to take their crumbling eatery to a luxurious Platinum Star Restaurant. A special GOG release includes the Battle Kitchen Expansion Pack, which adds local co-op, a whole new campaign with dozens of new levels and challenges, tons of additional features and improvements, and lots more. This expansion provides all new local multiplayer modes and weekly challenges from 25 indie guest cameos to tons of new features and improvements. New features in the Battle Kitchen edition include Tag Team Local Multiplayer where you can play up to four players locally as you take turns manning the chef station. You only have fifteen seconds to cook, and five seconds to explain to the next cook what to do first during these tag team sessions. Strike Challenges allow you to take on twelve brand new challenges on your own or up to four players tag team with adjustable difficulty settings. These challenges can be extremely difficult for even the most hardened cook. Endurance Mode is also available for ongoing play sessions. The main story length is 18 hours, while the main story plus extras extends to 26 hours. Completionist length reaches 38 hours for those seeking every unlockable.
