About
FINAL FANTASY VI is a single-player RPG published and developed by Square Enix that was released on February 23, 2022. This title presents the sixth installment in the renowned series with completely new graphics and audio while maintaining its original 2D pixel aesthetic. Players can enjoy the timeless story told through these charming retro visuals as they explore a world where magic has vanished for a thousand years. The narrative follows humanity's reliance on machines until a young woman with mysterious powers is discovered, setting the stage for the War of the Magi. The game features a magicite system that allows players to customize which abilities, magic spells, and summons their party members learn during gameplay. All playable characters have their own stories, goals, and destinies that interweave into a sweeping melodrama for the player to experience. The main story takes approximately 34 hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to about 41 hours. Those looking to see everything in the game can expect a completionist run of roughly 61 hours. This remastered version offers all the magic of the original with improved ease of play for modern audiences.Read moreShow less
