The narrative takes place in Gamindustri, a realm where multiple dimensions converge, including the Zero Dimension which faces imminent collapse. Uzume Tennouboshi serves as the final guardian of this struggling world and fights against an evil entity called the Dark CPU. Her calls for assistance reach Neptune, the CPU of Planeptune, prompting her to leave her home dimension and join the conflict. Once the Zero Dimension is saved, Uzume joins the player in their own world to continue the adventure. The story features wacky dialogue set against beautiful scenery within enticing worlds that players can explore. Players can enter the Player's Room using a special VR mode to customize their space and interact one-on-one with various characters from the series. Combat tactics are further expanded by allowing players to position teammates to execute devastating team attacks. Characters gain access to two levels of transformations that add depth to tactical choices and increase attack power.
