The game puts you in the role of a prisoner who must escape from prison. Life in prison is governed by strict rules that you will need to break. Guards are constantly on patrol and will try to stop any escape attempts. To avoid suspicion, you must attend roll calls, work assigned jobs, and conceal any stolen or crafted items. You'll face a variety of challenging prisons from around the world as you put your escaping skills to the test. The main story can be completed in approximately 20 hours. If you include all the extras, the playtime increases to 42 hours. A completionist playthrough will take around 44 hours.

It may have its minor frustrations but there's nothing here that really spoils what is an otherwise delightful and endlessly surprising game. It won't be for everyone, especially those who are unwilling to meet the game halfway and learn through trial and error, but those who welcome its open-ended challenge will find that a long stretch inside proves surprisingly enjoyable.
