About
The Town of Light is a psychological adventure developed by LKA and published by Wired Productions. Released on February 25, 2016, this single-player title falls within the horror, indie, action, and adventure genres. The game takes place in Italy during the first half of the 20th Century in a location that has been meticulously reconstructed. The narrative follows Renée, a sixteen-year-old character who is removed from her world and locked up after being deemed a danger to herself and others. Her story unfolds in the first person as she explores and interacts with the environment to relive her history through confusion. The horror elements presented are grounded in truth rather than supernatural presence, delivering an intense emotional impact. Players can expect a main story length of three hours, which extends to four hours when including extras. Completing all aspects of the experience requires approximately five hours of gameplay time. An impactful exploration of mental health issues that presents a very different kind of horror.

Uneven, bleak and unflinching. You won't enjoy it, but it's one of a kind.
