About
Rivals of Aether is an indie fighting game. It features warring civilizations that summon the power of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Players can choose a Rival to bring into battle and manipulate these elemental powers along with animal movement. Rivals of Aether allows for up to four players to compete either locally or online. The game offers several modes. VERSUS MODE provides competitive 1v1 or 2v2 fights, as well as free-for-all matches. STORY MODE lets players learn the backstory behind each Rival and uncover hidden mysteries within Aether. Rivals of Aether also includes drop-in local co-op for two players. ABYSS MODE challenges players to defeat waves of shadowy fighters alone or with a friend, aiming for the leaderboards. The main story in Rivals of Aether can be completed in approximately two hours. Players who want to experience the full game, including extras, will need around nineteen hours. Achieving completionist status requires approximately ninety-three hours of gameplay.
