About
Salt is an open world exploration game developed and published by Lavaboots Studios, released on February 6, 2018. The title falls within the indie, action, RPG, and adventure genres, offering both single-player and co-op experiences. Players begin their journey on an island with basic resources required to construct a raft before setting sail across a vast ocean. The game focuses on discovery and loot as you travel from island to island at your own pace. You can choose any direction to explore uncharted islands, encounter mysterious places, and complete quests while relaxing on the sea. Merchants, ruins, pirates, cultists, and other characters populate the world for you to discover during your adventure. Upgrading your ships is part of the progression as you loot hundreds of rare items throughout the sea. The main quest runs alongside over 50 side quests filled with lore and secrets to earn additional rewards. You may go on adventures with friends or trade rare items found in the world while sailing towards the sunset.
