The narrative focuses on two sisters who inhabit dual forces within a coming-of-age dark fantasy setting. The story takes place in the Holy Kingdom of Keidas, where powerful feral creatures called Wraiths invade from the Veil. These entities corrupt victims and possess their bodies to become monsters that prey on common folk. Only hybrid warriors known as Chimeras can protect humanity from this threat. The main protagonist consists of two sisters reborn as a Chimera after their souls are bound together. One sister named Briar gains superhuman strength and resilience, while her companion Lute becomes a shade with mystical powers. These characters are voiced by Stefanie Joosten and are sent on a mission to reclaim a city in ruins. The gameplay includes fast-paced action against vicious enemies and spectacular boss fights throughout the campaign. Players can expect a main story length of approximately 17 hours, extending to 19 hours with extras. A completionist playthrough requires about 29 hours to finish all content.
