About
TasteMaker is an indie strategy and simulation game published by Jelle Booij and developed by Jelle Booij, released on April 21, 2023. This single-player title allows players to design a restaurant from the ground up, including decorating the space and creating a menu. You can hire and manage staff members to run your business while working to keep customers happy and profitable. The gameplay involves starting with a small plot of land and expanding by purchasing more property once you have earned enough money. Guests care about decor as much as food, so ensuring your restaurant is well-decorated helps maintain their satisfaction. You must also manage your employees by hiring the right people and setting their priorities wisely to ensure success. Maintaining cleanliness is essential because guests will not tolerate rats or other unsanitary conditions in the dining area. Creating a menu requires careful selection of dishes and appropriate pricing, as a poorly thought-out menu can lead to failure. Finally, keeping customers satisfied is the primary goal to prevent your dream restaurant from turning into a nightmare.
