About
Tinykin is an indie platformer published by tinyBuild and developed by Splashteam that released on August 29, 2022. The single-player adventure focuses on catching hundreds of tinykin to utilize their unique powers for a specific goal. Players must use these abilities to help Milo return to his home planet and restore him to normal size. The narrative begins when Milo arrives on Earth only to discover he is far too small for the world around him. Since everyone has disappeared, no time has passed since 1991, leaving the protagonist stranded in a sprawling ant-sized metropolis. The objective is to find a way home while unraveling the biggest mystery regarding Earth. The main story takes approximately six hours to complete, though including extras extends the experience to eight hours. For those seeking a full completionist run, the total length reaches ten hours.

Tinykin's minion management might be shallow, but its platforming shines.

Tinykin's vibrant levels and simple but satisfying platforming make collecting pollen a delight.

Tinykin feels comforting in an old-school sense. Its challenges never become convoluted, nor does its design reinvent the wheel, and that’s okay. Tinykin executes its handful of ideas exceptionally well, making it a thoroughly enjoyable and laid-back journey that only requires six to eight hours of your time. Don’t let this delightful adventure sneak under your radar.

Tinykin is a delightful callback to '90s collectathons and platformers, with just the right amount of new ideas and iterations.
