Turok is an action shooter and adventure platformer developed by Acclaim Entertainment and published by Night Dive Studios. The game was originally released on November 25, 1997, offering players a first-person perspective in a vast three-dimensional environment. This title presents a world where time has no meaning and evil knows no bounds. Players take on the role of a time traveling warrior torn from a world long gone. The narrative thrusts Turok into a savage land that is torn by conflict. The experience includes single-player gameplay featuring cunning enemies, traps, puzzles, and deadly weapons. Now restored with a new visual engine, the game supports high resolutions and widescreen displays. Technical enhancements include OpenGL for the video backend, dynamic lighting, bloom effects, and enhanced water rendering.
