Atomicrops is an indie action simulation developed by Bird Bath Games and published by Raw Fury. Released on September 17, 2020, this single-player title places you in a post-nuclear setting where you inherit your late uncle's farm. You must defend the last surviving source of sustenance against mutant pests and bandits that invade nightly to ravage your fields. The game requires you to grow mutated crops called atomicrops to feed the local town while making a profit. Players can explore the far reaches of the biomes to find useful relics of farms long past during the day. You will discover rusty farm equipment, antique gardening tools, and tomes of how-to garden guides to increase your farming power. Money earned in town allows you to purchase weapons and items to upgrade your gun and abilities. Permanent upgrades to your farmhouse provide bonuses that persist across playthroughs. The experience involves sowing and harvesting as many fast growing crops as possible before the day is done. You must fend off nightly attackers looking to eat your crops or leave you starving, or dead. Fight challenging bosses each season until you reach the final season known as the Nuclear Winter. Celebrate the end of each season with special shops and rewards at the conclusion of every cycle. Court and wed townsfolk to fight and farm by your side throughout the game. Befriend an entourage of pig pals, chicken chums and cow colleagues to automate farming tasks. Adopt a variety of bizarre cats to live on your farmhouse for additional assistance. The main story length is approximately 5 hours, while the main story plus extras extends to 31 hours. Completionist playthroughs can take up to 49 hours to finish.
