About
Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is an indie action adventure platformer developed by Exit Plan Games and published by Untold Tales. The game released on October 4, 2023. Players take the role of BOB, a reckless bouncy hero who engages in combat within three-dimensional environments. This title draws inspiration from classic characters known for their jumping abilities across various historical settings. The experience includes single-player modes as well as co-op options for up to four players online or two players on split screen. Progress carries over when players jump in and out of sessions with friends. Users can explore jam-packed open worlds filled with activities to complete at their own pace. The game features destructible environments that allow players to smash through obstacles during exploration. Multiple historically themed realms are available, ranging from the Vikings and Feudal Japan to the Age of Pirates and The Space Race. Each world offers unique mechanics, items, and enemies for players to encounter. While the historical themes are presented with a slight inaccuracy, they provide distinct settings for gameplay. Hidden secrets and bundles of themed items can be collected throughout these diverse locations. Combat involves fighting adversaries and bosses while tackling various challenges within the open worlds. Players can customize their character using an arsenal of weapons, shields, and decorations gathered during play. There are no cosmetic paid DLCs, so all customization comes from collecting items found in the game. The main story takes approximately two hours to complete, with additional content extending playtime to seven hours. A completionist run requires about nineteen hours to finish all objectives and collectibles.
