About
Bus World is a simulation title developed and published by KishMish Games that focuses on passenger transportation across diverse environments. Released on September 14, 2023, the game combines elements of racing, adventure, open world exploration, and indie design within a single-player experience. Players can utilize controller support to navigate various maps while managing routes in different settings. The core gameplay involves driving buses under standard conditions before progressing to rescue operations following disasters. The setting shifts between distinct locations, including the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in the Ukrainian SSR during 1986 and sunny jungles in Southern China. In the Chernobyl scenario, drivers operate within Pripyat and around the Nuclear Power Plant just prior to an explosion while dealing with breakdowns. The environment then changes to show destroyed areas like the fourth power unit and Red Forest after a catastrophe strikes. Conversely, routes in Southern China present challenges such as tsunamis, floods, earthquakes with rockfall, and deadly tornadoes on narrow roads. Iceland serves as another location where drivers face volcanic eruptions and geysers on less crowded paths that include dirt roads leading to active craters. Gameplay scenarios are divided into three categories involving standard transport duties, breakdown management, and disaster response. Standard missions require delivering staff to the Power Plant or tourists to their destinations while handling issues like engine overheating and limited fuel. Breakdown situations force players to turn off engines to cool them down or use terrain features to reach fueling stations with restricted resources. Disaster scenarios involve evacuating people after explosions at the Chernobyl Power Plant, wildfires, earthquakes, and tornadoes where avoiding direct impact is essential. Progression in Bus World allows players to gain experience points that lead to leveling up and unlocking new content. As players advance, they can access additional scenarios, vehicles, and various modifications for their buses. The game emphasizes careful driving on rough roads, as hitting obstacles at high speed causes damage to the vehicle. In peaceful situations, excessive speed on bad surfaces may result in unhappy passengers rather than mechanical failure. Free mode offers an alternative where users can design custom routes and travel across the available maps according to their preferences.
