About
Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition is an indie action platformer developed by Long Hat House and published by Raw Fury, released on March 4, 2020. This single-player title takes place in the world of Salt, a setting where citizens have shifted from free spirits to oppressed individuals facing collapse. A heroine named Dandara emerges from an aether of fear to bring hope and balance to this directionless environment. Players can traverse the esoteric world by jumping across floors, walls, and ceilings without being hindered by gravity. The game features fast and fluid movement through lovingly crafted environments filled with mystical creatures and diverse characters. Secrets hidden throughout Salt await discovery as you solve puzzles using speed, skill, wits, and reflexes. The Trials of Fear Edition expands the experience with three new areas to explore alongside a new big boss encounter. New powers and mechanics are introduced along with additional music tracks and a secret ending for players to find. Story focus is enhanced through fresh descriptions, dialogues, and cutscenes that flesh out the lore of Salt and its inhabitants. Control options include a native mouse and keyboard scheme specifically made for PC, though a Microsoft Xbox Controller is also supported. The game supports both touchscreen and gamepad input, allowing movement and combat to interact smoothly and seamlessly. Quality of life updates accompany these new features to improve the overall gameplay experience.
