About
GYLT is a narrative adventure game developed by Tequila Works and Parallel Circles, published by Tequila Works. Released on July 6, 2023, the title falls within the horror, action, and adventure genres. Players can experience this single-player experience in a fictional old mining town located in the state of Maine. The soundtrack for the game is composed by Cris Velasco. The story follows Sally, a young girl living in Bethelwood who faces difficulties after her cousin Emily disappears. Following an encounter with bullies, Sally enters a twisted version of her town where nightmares manifest as reality. In this setting, players must choose whether to confront terrible creatures or hide from them while navigating the world. Strategies can include using sound or visual lures to distract enemies or avoiding detection entirely. The gameplay involves solving puzzles and managing stealth alongside action elements. Players will work to understand the environment and uncover the mystery behind Emily's disappearance. The main story takes approximately six hours to complete, with additional content extending playtime to seven hours. Those seeking a full completionist run can expect to spend around eight hours exploring all aspects of the game.

Tequila Works' teen-rated horror might surprise you with its shocks and creepy atmosphere, but it's a little thin.
