About
The Chant is a single-player horror action-adventure game published by Prime Matter and developed by Brass Token, released on November 3, 2022. This third-person title takes place on a remote spiritual island retreat where a group chant accidentally opens The Gloom, a psychedelic dimension of terror. Once the ritual goes wrong, players must craft items, fight creatures, and escape while navigating the negative energy that feeds this cosmic dread. The gameplay involves interacting with a recurring cast of characters as they become consumed by their own negative energy over time. Players will untangle the complex history of the island and witness terrifying revelations about the cosmos while fighting off prismatic creatures and cultists released from The Gloom. The narrative allows you to reason with survivors and unravel the legacy of a cult that spans from the 1970s to reverse the ritual. The main story takes approximately six hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to seven hours. Completing all aspects of the game requires about nine hours of gameplay.Read moreShow less
