About
Midnight Fight Express is an indie fighting and action combat title published by Humble Games and developed by Jacob Dzwinel. The game was released on August 22, 2022, and features single-player gameplay where you play as Babyface. This former criminal underworld member is lured back into the life by a mysterious AI drone named Droney. Your objective is to fight across the city before sunrise to stop a criminal takeover. Combat in Midnight Fight Express involves using environmental tools and street fighting techniques against waves of enemies. The game features mo-cap animation by Eric Jacobus and includes custom difficulty modes for player preference. You can punch, dodge, counter, and finish off bozos, cronies, and crime lords with fluid moves. A sprawling skill tree allows you to level up abilities and develop a signature fighting style. The arsenal includes melee weapons like knives, axes, and sledgehammers alongside firearms such as pistols and shotguns. Players can also use explosives and everyday items like furniture or toilet plungers for takedowns. The soundtrack by Noisecream plays across 41 hand-crafted levels to match the midnight energy of the setting. You can customize your character's appearance with over 150 pieces of clothing and skins for Droney. The main story takes about six hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to eight hours. A completionist run requires approximately twenty-one hours to finish all content. Returning players can revisit missions to complete challenges and unlock rewards on the leaderboard. Settings allow you to customize enemy types and weapons to create your own version of the action.
