About

Severed Steel is an indie first-person shooter developed by Greylock Studio and released on September 17, 2021. The game offers a single-player experience where you control Steel, a nimble sharpshooter who fights with only one arm. You engage in intense firefights using a steel-toed boot and your trigger finger against waves of enemies within a superstructure. Combat relies on chaining together wall runs, dives, flips, and slides to eliminate every last opponent. The environment is fully destructible, allowing you to punch through thick concrete with .50 cal slugs or create large openings in structures. There is no reloading mechanic, so players must pick their shots carefully and be ready to take a loaded weapon from an enemy's hands. The title includes loads of bullet time to help manage the frenzied action during fights. You can dodge bullets, leap off walls, slide kick, and throw weapons to come out on top in each encounter. The experience is supported by controller input for those who prefer playing with a gamepad. The main story takes approximately three hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to six hours. For players aiming for completion, the total length reaches twenty-three hours. A dark electronic soundtrack accompanies the stylish visuals throughout the single-player campaign.
