About
War Mongrels is an isometric real-time tactics game set on the Eastern front of World War II. The title was released on October 19, 2021, and falls within the Action, Adventure, and Strategy genres. It offers both single-player and multi-player experiences with co-op capabilities and controller support. The story-driven campaign draws inspiration from grim historical events and real stories surrounding them. Players can explore a dark narrative alone or team up with a friend on PC to build a squad of mongrels. Each character in the group possesses their own personality, background, and specific skills for use during the journey. Tactical elements are mixed with adventure and stealth across missions that encourage trying different approaches. The interactive environment allows players to distract enemies or drop parts of destroyed buildings on them. If spotted, a player can draw their weapon and attempt to shoot their way out of the situation. The main story length is approximately 21 hours, while completing the game with extras extends playtime to about 33 hours. The publisher includes Destructive Creations, Surefire.Games, and DMM Games - Asia, with development handled by Destructive Creations.
