The game offers a mix of exploration, action, and adventure elements within its gameplay loop. Players assume the role of a character cursed into a half-human, half-lizard form by the Meka-Dragon. The primary goal involves searching for a cure to return to human shape by locating the Salamander Cross. This magical item is said to possess the power to remove curses from the protagonist. As dragons are defeated, the curse intensifies and transforms the player character into different animals. The world consists of large interconnected locations filled with grumpy monsters and exotic dragons. Players can choose to play as the classic character Hu-Man or his new co-star Hu-Girl. Other playable forms include Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, Piranha-Man, Lion-Man, and Hawk-Man. Each form provides unique abilities that help uncover deeper aspects of the land. The main story takes approximately five hours to complete. Including extra content, the experience extends to about six hours. A completionist playthrough requires around seven hours to finish all available content.
