An All-New Quest Type Comes To Phantasy Star Online 2: NGS In Its July Update

A new NGS Headline WAVE dropped today, offering players of the F2P action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis details on what’s to come in the next few months. The steam includes a roadmap that runs through September, when a new Combat Sector featuring unique Trials will be added to the Alter Realm.

Before that, however, players have the July update to look forward to. This update will introduce the new Interception Sectors quest type in the Alter Realm. These quests allow up to 32 players to team up and fight the new High Enemies, such as the High Renus and High Elimineda. To successfully beat these bosses, players will want to defeat other enemies in the field or complete trials to weaken them first.

The July update also includes a collaboration with the plastic model series Arcanadea. This will feature a “sci-fi crossed with fantasy” theme.
